Bra Underwires – Profile 1 | Full Cover

Bra Underwires Profile 1 are designed for professional production of Full Cover bras, supportive bra styles, larger-size lingerie, minimizer constructions, and sewn cups with underwires. This shape is used in garments where stable support, proper cup fit, and shape retention during regular wear are important.

The Profile 1 shape has a high center, high side, regular width, and mid coverage. These parameters define the underwire fit and its application in the finished garment. The high center helps stabilize the cups in the central area, while the high side increases lateral support and helps keep the breast securely positioned inside the cup.

The regular width makes this underwire suitable for serial production and compatible with different Full Cover bra constructions. Mid coverage provides a balance between support, shaping, and comfort: the underwire gives sufficient cup fixation without making the garment overly closed or rigid.

The underwires are made from Bekaert wire — a product of a Belgian company specializing in steel wire and coating technologies. Bekaert wire is used in industrial applications where stable material quality, precise geometry, and reliable technical characteristics are important.

The wire has double anti-corrosion protection: galvanization and PET plastic coating. This protection helps reduce the risk of corrosion, creates a smooth surface, minimizes friction in contact with fabric, and helps maintain a neat appearance of the finished garment.

The ends of the underwires have protective drop-shaped tips. They cover the wire ends, reduce the risk of fabric damage, and help prevent the underwire channel from being pierced during wear and washing. This finishing is especially important for serial lingerie production, where consistent quality and safety of each component are required.

Two wire profiles are available for order: flat and oval. Flat wire is suitable for standard use in most lingerie constructions. Oval wire is selected for enhanced comfort: it feels softer in the finished garment and helps distribute pressure more evenly, which is especially important for larger-size lingerie.
